ROANOKE WOMEN 2ND IN BASKETBALL POLL

The Roanoke College women's basketball team is ranked second in the South Region, trailing only Maryville, Tenn., which defeated the Lady Maroons for the second time this season 78-77 on Thursday.

Roanoke (6-2 overall, 1-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference) is 32-3 over the past two seasons, with all three of the defeats coming against Maryville. - Staff report
