SMYTH COUNTY PLANS ADMINISTRATOR INTERVIEWS

The Smyth County Board of Supervisors has completed the application process to find a successor to Marvin Perry, its first county administrator, who retired last year.

It will be scheduling interviews from among the applicants soon.

At its opening meeting Tuesday, the board elected Rhea B. Lawrence as chairman and Johnny Crewey as vice chairman.
