CLINCH VALLEY ADULT STUDIES DIRECTOR NAMED
Bobbie Jo Peters, elementary supervisor for Tazewell County schools since 1985, has been named director of adult studies and continuing education and a lecturer in education for Clinch Valley College.She has been an assessor for the Principals' Assessment Center in Blacksburg since 1986, and an instructor in the Beginning Teacher Assistance Program since 1985. She has been an adjunct faculty member for graduate courses at Virginia Tech, where she earned her doctor of education degree, and the University of Virginia.
"Our national search led to a resident of Southwest Virginia to head this important program," said Vice Chancellor and Dean Lucius Ellsworth. Peters graduated from Berea (Ky.) College. She has a master's degree from Radford University.
