BOSWELL, GLADYS F.

Gladys Foster Boswell, died Wednesday, January 15, 1992 in a Roanoke hospital. She was born in Vinton, Va. in 1896 but moved to Roanoke where she lived all her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Taliaferro Boswell. A member of Green Memorial United Methodist Church for 75 years, she held a life membership in the United Methodist Women. Survivors include two daughters, Sara Boswell Coffer, Tampa, Fla.; Ann Boswell Breslin, Roanoke; five grandchildren, Catherine C. Pereira, Clay S. Coffer, Caroline C. Collier, all of Fla.; Robert F. Beamer, Charlottesville; Sara Ann Beamer, Baltimore; three great-granddaughters; also surviving are two sisters, Winifred F. Bailey, Northie F. Thomas; one brother, H. Coy Foster, all of Roanoke; and a host of nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Saturday by Dr. Jerry O. Campbell. Burial will be private. Pallbearers will be Clay S. Coffer, Robert F. Beamer, Kenneth D. Collier, Raymond Thomas, Mark Mincer, A.E. Bailey. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will receive from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday and other times at the home.
