BATH COUNTY RALLIES TO BEAT HIGHLAND 64-62
Mike Reese scored 16 points and Todd Jenkins added 15 as Bath County (7-3, 6-2) outlasted the hot-shooting Highland Rams 64-62 in a Pioneer District contest Tuesday night. Micah Ginn paced Highland (1-9, 1-8) with 23 points.In other Tuesday night games:
\ Fort Chiswell 85, Auburn 72: In Max Meadows, the undefeated Pioneers went on a 33-18 run in the fourth quarter to put away the Eagles in a Mountain Empire District matchup. Brian Lampkins led the charge with 26 points.
\ George Wythe 62, PH-Glade Spring 38: In Glade Spring, the Maroons rolled to a Hogoheegee District win on the road after grabbing a 39-15 halftime lead. Si Dickenson led Wythe (6-4 overall, 4-1 district) with 22 points. PH (2-6, 1-3) got 20 from John Hess.
\ Rocky Gap 52, Bland 50: In Rocky Gap, Kyle Gibson's two free throws in the final seconds enabled the Eagles stave off a furious second-half rally by the winless Rockets in Mountain Empire District play. Gibson paced Rocky Gap (4-4, 3-4) with 14 points. Kevin King had five 3-pointers and 19 points for the Rockets (0-7, 0-7). \
