GEARHEART, HERMAN W.
Herman W. Gearheart, age 83, died Wednesday, January 15, 1992, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mr. Gearheart was born at Sugar Grove on May 11, 1908, to the late Thomas G. and Lula Spradlin Gearheart. He was a retired employee of R.A.A.P. Surviving are his beloved wife, Myrtle N. Gearheart; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille Linkous, Lebanon, Va.; Rebecca and Harvey Flinchum, Salem; Josephine and Randall Lovern, Edith and Ottie Hall, all of Blacksburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Betty Gearheart, Henderson and Shirley Linkous, all of Blacksburg; two sisters, Nancy Gray and Glada Blue, both of Christiansburg; one brother, T. G. Gearheart, Radford; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, at Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Rev. Jerry Sloss will officiate. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
