CHANNEL 24 PLANS SEVERAL LOCAL PROGRAMS

The following locally-produced programs will be offered on Channel 24, Blacksburg's public- and government-access channel, this month:

\ Speaking of . . . Retiring in Blacksburg: Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Rev. Herbert Myers talks about the advantages of retiring in Blacksburg.

\ The Music of Steppin' Out: Wednesday at 7 p.m. Local and visiting bands play at the town's Steppin' Out festival of 1991.

\ Blacksburg Master Chorale: Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. Sixty-five-member chorus performs Vivaldi's "Gloria."

\ In-Line Life: Jan. 29 at 8:30 p.m. A view of Blacksburg from rollerblades with Virginia Tech's Roller Blading In Line club.

Also, some spectacular attempts and funny falls from the bladers will follow at 8:50 p.m.

\ Speaking of . . . Hate Crimes: Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. The Blacksburg Police Department's program features experts from the FBI discussing hate crimes.
