CAMPBELL MEMORIAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 1130 Hardy Road in Vinton, will begin the celebration of its centennial Sunday. An open house for the community is scheduled from 2-4 p.m. A flute ensemble directed by Deborah Kemper will give a program during the event.\ A HOSANNA GOSPEL EXPOSE musical program by members of 15 Roanoke Valley church choirs will take place Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. at the Patrick Henry Hotel Grand Ballroom. Tickets for the semi-formal event cost $8 and may be bought at the door. Hosanna Chapter 517 of the Order of Eastern Star is sponsoring the event.
Leaders of the Hosanna Chapter will charter a new group Feb. 9. For information about membership and goals, call 342-2541.
\ WOMEN'S AGLOW DAY CHAPTER has scheduled a Salinas, Calif., musician, Patty Warner, for its meeting Wednesday from 9:30 a.m.-noon at the Woodmen of the World building, 2306 Peters Creek Road. The $2 donation covers refreshments; child care also is available by calling 774-6214 in advance.
\ THE PHILANDER SMITH COLLEGE Collegiate Choir of Little Rock, Ark., will sing Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Fifth and Gilmer Northwest. Stephen L. Hayes is director. The program is free and is sponsored by the Sanctuary Choir of High Street Baptist Church.
The choir, formed about 100 years ago by a Methodist missionary, toured the United States to help raise money for the college. One of the choir's directors was composer/arranger Ruth Helen Gillum, who arranged "There's No Hiding Place" for the choir.
\ THE REV. DR. LOYD ALLEN of the faculty of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., will lead a study of the Old Testament prophet Isaiah Sunday through Tuesday nights at 6:30. It will take place at Grandin Court Baptist Church, 2660 Brambleton Ave. S.W. and is free.
