FOR THE RECORD
Because of information furnished to the Neighbors section, a Jan. 9 story
on Marilyn Donato, who received the Americanism Medal from the National
Society Daughters of the American Revolution, General James Breckinridge
Chapter, contained some outdated and incorrect information. Donato served on
the board of directors of the Roanoke Symphony and the parish council at St.
Andrews Catholic Church. She also was a consulting dietitian at the Roanoke
City Nursing Home. Also her cookbook, Philippine Cooking, is in its 10th
printing.
