HENSON, LINDA S.

Linda S. (Cindy) Henson, age 38, of Roanoke died at home, January 15, 1992. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church, was a retired school teacher in Roanoke County Schools having taught at Cave Spring High School, Andrew Lewis and William Byrd High School and was honored as teacher of the year for three years in a row. She was predeceased by her mother Inez Spangler in 1986. She is survived by her father, Joseph W. Spangler; one uncle and two aunts. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakland Baptist Church 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18 with the Rev. Kelly Dampeer officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
