GRIFFIN, HERBERT R.

Herbert Raymond Griffin, age 91, a resident of Virginia Synod Lutheran Home, died Thursday, January 9, 1992 He was a retired Norfolk & Western Railway Employee, after working for over 40 years. Survivors are two brothers, Lennie Griffin, Roanoke; Johnny Griffin, Pittsburgh, Penn.; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Griffin Webster, Rochester, Penn.; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Nellie White Griffin, Roanoke; Mrs. Inez Griffin, Pittsburgh, Penn.; Mrs. Elizabeth Griffin, Roanoke, widow of Leon; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held in Elizabeth City, N.C. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at a later date. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
