TICKETS SELLING FAST FOR HOT STOVE BANQUET
Ticket sales for the inaugural Hot Stove Banquet and induction ceremony for the Roanoke-Salem Baseball Hall of Fame have reached 300. Less than 100 tickets remain for the Feb. 2 dinner at the Salem Civic Center.The hall will induct Walter "Steve" Brodie, F.J. "Kid" Carr, Al Holland, Dave Parker and Bill Sample. Former New York Yankees second baseman Bobby Richardson will be the guest speaker.
Individual tickets are $25, or $160 for a table for eight.
Tickets are on sale at the Salem Civic Center box office; in Roanoke at the Roanoker Restaurant on Colonial Avenue Southwest and at Gary Oyler Insurance on Brambleton Avenue Southwest; and in Rocky Mount at Meadow Spring Land & Realty on Main Street. - Staff report
