BASSETT, WILLIAM A.

William A. Bassett, age 79, of Roanoke, died Friday, January 17, 1992 in Richfield Nursing Center. He was formerly of Newark, Del. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church; a retired Production Analyst from the DuPont Chambers Works in Deep Water, N.J. He was also involved with the Retired Mens Luncheon Club. Surviving are his wife, Anna Mary Geiter Bassett; son and daughter-in-law, Gary M. and Elaine M. Bassett; grandchildren, Miranda, Victoria, Melissa and Gregory Bassett, all of Roanoke. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at Oakey's South Chapel. The family suggests memorials be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund, Roanoke or the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in Newark, Del. Services and Interment will be held at a later date.
