CARROLL COUNTY BOOK NEEDS PHOTOGRAPHS

A book on the history of Carroll County up to 1920, to be published by a Virginia Beach company, needs to borrow photographs from the early days of the county.

They should be sent to Owen Bowman, Route 1, Box 1A, Lambsburg, Va. 24351 (telephone 755-3928). Bowman is writing the book, "Carroll County: A Pictorial History," which was commissioned by the Carroll County Historical Society and Bank of Carroll.

The limited-edition hardcover will be published by Donning Publishing Co. as part of its Portraits of America series. - Southwest bureau
