SMYTH HOSPITAL BOARD STREAMLINING ITSELF

The Smyth County Community Hospital Board of Directors has put its membership numbers on a diet.

The board voted this week to reduce its size from 42 to 19 members, after failing to approve another proposal to reduce it to 13 members. There will be an advisory board to assist the streamlined Board of Directors. - Southwest bureau
