COASTAL CAROLINA GETS EX-VMI PLAYER
VMI forward Louis Anderson and Oklahoma guard Marquis "Keke" Hicks have transferred to Coastal Carolina, coach Russ Bergman said Friday.Anderson's eligibility status has not been determined. The 6-6 junior played in only three games this season for the Keydets before a wrist injury sidelined him.
Anderson played at nearby Socastee High School. "Louis is a very strong player inside," Bergman said. "He should help us on the boards a great deal."
Hicks, a 6-1 sophomore, will be eligible to play for the Big South Conference team after the first semester of the 1992-93 season.
Hicks is "an impact player," Bergman said. "His quickness fits in perfectly with our up-tempo style of play." - Associated Press
