TAZEWELL DOCTOR BREAKS CHILD SEX ABUSE PROBATION

A 67-year-old physician, who admitted sexually abusing children - including some in Tazewell, Virginia - over the past 30 years, was jailed for allegedly violating a probation requirement that he stay away from youngsters.

Keene Watson had been free since July after spending two months in jail on his only conviction - for masturbating an 11-year-old girl in 1990.

But as early as October, Watson repeatedly visited another girl - age 14 - whom he had been ordered to stay away from, according to a probation officer's statement.

It was Watson's first conviction and also the first time he had been arrested. However, he admitted he French-kissed or touched the genitals of other children in Virginia, California and Zaire that he met either through his medical practice or in religious work.

According to a presentencing report, Watson was fired from his job in Tazewell, Va., for French kissing a young boy.
