WOMAN KILLED IN PARKING LOT

A woman was killed and a man was injured about 8 p.m. Friday in a shooting in the parking lot of Kentucky Fried Chicken on Memorial Drive.

Pulaski police could not be reached for comment, but Jo Venable, administrator on call at Pulaski Community Hospital, said a woman brought to the hospital after the incident was dead on arrival. Venable said a male was admitted to the hospital for a gunshot wound to the left shoulder. He was in stable condition at 10 p.m.

Venable would not release the name of either person, saying a police investigation was still under way.
