GIRLS GO FOR `BEVERLY HILLS'; BOYS LIKE `SIMPSONS'

"Beverly Hills, 90210" is the most popular prime-time show among girls 12 to 17 and "The Simpsons" is the most watched show among boys of the same age, according to Nielsen Media Research's highest-rated programs.

Both are Thursday night shows on Fox Broadcasting Co.

Following "Beverly Hills, 90210," teen-age girls also watch, in order, NBC's "Blossom" and "Fresh Prince of Bel Air"; ABC's "Full House," "Roseanne" and "Doogie Howser, M.D."; NBC's "A Different World," ABC's "Home Improvement," Fox's "In Living Color" and ABC's "The Wonder Years."

After "The Simpsons," teen boys watch "The Fresh Prince," "In Living Color," "Beverly Hills, 90210," Fox's "Married . . . With Children," "Roseanne," "Home Improvement," "Blossom," "Full House" and, tying for 10th place, "Doogie Howser" and "The Wonder Years."

None of CBS' shows appealed to teens, at least as far as Nielsen's top 10 list revealed. - Los Angeles Daily News
