OBIT PENNINGTON, D.

PENNINGTON, DAYTON F. Mr. Dayton F. Pennington, age 80, died Saturday, January 18, 1992, in Smyth County Community Hospital. He was a member of the First Church of God (Chatham Hill Road). He worked for Smyth County Car Dealers for twenty-five years and Smyth County Law-Enforcement for fifteen years. He is survived by his wife, Ola Osborne Pennington of Marion; one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Louise and Bill Robbins of Marion; two stepgrandsons, Larry and Kim Robbins of Marion; and Jeff and Debi Robbins of Black Mountain, North Carolina; three brothers, Raymond Blair Pennington of Marion; Russell E. Pennington of Chilhowie, Virginia; and Paul Pennington of Konnarock, Virginia; three sisters, Denton Gentry, Viola Price and Danish Trivett, all of Konnarock, Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Isabell Pennington, Konnarock; Nannie Pennington of Marion; and Beulah Pennington of Swansboro, North Carolina; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Ashley, Crystal, Kharma and Wesley; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday 2:00 p.m. at the First Church of God with Pastor Tom Shockley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
