BED TAX WILL HIT THE MIDDLE CLASS

WE, THE MIDDLE class, who are now paying most of the taxes, will be paying double for Gov. Wilder's hospital-bed tax, or whatever he calls it.

We, the middle-class people, will have more of our taxes going to Medicaid to pay for the poor's hospital bills and will also have to pay higher insurance premiums or out-of-pocket money to pay our own hospital bills.

Also, this $300 million he wants to put Virginians in construction back to work will not do it unless it is stipulated that this money will only be used on contracts to Virginia companies (hiring only Virginians) who submit the lowest bids.

Too many Virginia dollars have been paid to out-of-state construction companies that bring in cheaper labor from out of state or country. These workers send most of their pay home to their families, causing Virginia to lose tax money, while our federal taxes have been paying Virginians their unemployment. FRANCES L.
