`PORGY' TICKETS NOW ON SALE

Tickets are on sale for the Feb. 17 concert version of George Gershwin's "Porgy & Bess" at the Roanoke Civic Center auditorium.

Available through the symphony box office at 111 W. Campbell Ave., tickets are $14, $12 and $10, with a 50 percent discount for students.

The box office number is 343-9127.

The concert will be conducted by Victoria Bond. It is a production of Opera Roanoke and the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, with a community chorus directed by Jeffrey Sandborg.
