CANNADAY, ALLIE C.

Mrs. Allie Chaney Cannaday, age 79, of Route 1, died Saturday, January 18, 1992, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Cannaday, and a son, Maynard Cannaday. Mrs. Cannaday was a member of Republican Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mabel C. Prillaman of Bassett and Helen Cannaday of Ferrum; three sons, Donald Cannaday, Billy Wayne Cannaday, and Dillard (Chinese) Cannaday, all of Ferrum; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Effie James, Mrs. Lera Hale, and Ocie Chaney, all of Ferrum. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Republican Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Junior Conner and Elder Leonard Brammer. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, is in charge of arrangements.
