PHILPOTT, SELMA B. Mrs. Selma Brooks (Jack) Philpott, formerly of Roanoke, died January 20 at Richfield Nursing Center. She was a retired bookkeeper for Pitzer Transfer in Roanoke. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald R. (Jerry) and Bonnie Mays Philpott, Salem; one sister; two brothers. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Burial Park with Rev. James A. Beverly officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salem Rescue Squad.
