FARMER, CHARLES A. Mr. Charles Alphonso (Sam) Farmer, age 66, of Orange Avenue, N.W., passed away in a local hospital Sunday, January 19, 1992. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lucinda Farmer, Roanoke; one brother, Otha L. Farmer, Columbus, Ga.; two sisters, Gladys B. Bannister and Louise Steptoe, both of Roanoke; one brother-in-law, Raymond Steptoe, Roanoke; two sisters-in-law, Lola Farmer, Columbus, Ga.; Jessie Mae Farmer, Fort Worth, Texas; a devoted friend, Vivian Cooper, Roanoke; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family will meet at the home of his niece, Mrs. Rosa Burns, 2320 Orange Avenue, N.W. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
