NEWPORT NEWS KNOCKS OFF METHODIST 79-63

Freshman Johnifer Cox had 21 points and 13 rebounds Monday as Newport News Apprentice won for just the third time in 14 basketball games this season, 79-63 over Methodist's Monarchs.

Aaron Johnson added 20 points and Bobby Gibbs had 17 as the Shipbuilders won their second in a row.
