RU ALUMNI TO PERFORM FRIDAY AT COMEDY CLUB

Three Radford University alumni will perform at the Norwood Room comedy club at 1115 Norwood St. Friday night.

The show will feature Pat Miller, a 1983 Radford graduate who has been a regular at Los Angeles Improv and who has appeared on "Showtime Comedy Club" and the Fox network's "Comedy Express." He has acted in Stephen King's "Maximum Overdrive" and "Raw Deal" and appears in the upcoming Richard Roundtree film, "Inside."

Mike Ashley, another 1983 graduate, also will perform. The assistant director of sports information at Radford has appeared at several college comedy clubs in Virginia, Buddy's in Blacksburg and the Roanoke Comedy Club.

Beth Moody, a Christiansburg High School math teacher, will be host. She received undergraduate and master's degrees from Radford.

The show is sponsored by Radford's New River Valley alumni chapter.

Admission is $3. Social hour begins at 8 p.m.; the show starts at 9 p.m. Admission is $3.
