COLLEGE PRESIDENT TO RETIRE

Joyce Davis, president of Southern Seminary College, said Monday she will retire from the presidency at the end of June, ending 10 years in office.

Davis, 57, said she was proud of what she has accomplished, but believed the college will benefit from new energy to lead it into the 21st century. She announced her plans at a meeting of the faculty and staff Monday.

Davis started as a part-time English teacher at the college and began working full time in 1967. - Associated Press
