IRS HAS REFUNDS FOR 11 TAXPAYERS
The Internal Revenue Service is looking for a number of New River Valley residents who are due tax-refund checks.The checks were for refunds for 1990 federal income-tax returns. They were returned by the Post Office as undeliverable.
These people are among 1,100 Virginians to whom the IRS owes a total of more than $448,000. The checks range from $1 to $11,264.
People who believe they have a refund check due should call the IRS toll-free at (800) 829-1040.
Those on the list from Blacksburg are April J. Brightman, Van and Doug Kwak, Alain Mobuchon, Linda M. Nemes, Frederico Serrano and Hazim Zibdeh.
Others are Ruby L. Graham and Mark and Constance Shelhorse of Christiansburg, Patrick T. Mills of Radford, Bridgette L. Holston of Dublin and A. Martin of Pembroke.
