GENERALS RALLY FOR 71-58 WIN
Washington and Lee used an 11-0 scoring run in the second half and rallied for a 71-58 Old Dominion Athletic Conference basketball victory over Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday night.The Generals (5-9 overall, 2-6 ODAC) trailed 35-28 but fought back for a 51-51 tie with eight minutes to go, when they began their scoring spurt.
W&L hit its free throws down the stretch, with its last 13 points coming from the line.
Bryan Watkins nailed five 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead the Generals. Vaughn Troyer had a game-high 25 points for the Royals (5-8, 2-6).
W&L next plays Friday night against Bridgewater in Lexington.
