STUDENT BACK AT W&M AFTER DATE-RAPE CASE

Katie Koestner, a student who transferred out of the College of William and Mary after a 1990 date rape case, has returned to the school.

Koestner said she re-enrolled this semester because she likes the school.

Koestner had transferred to Cornell University for her sophomore year after criticizing William and Mary administrators for their handling of her date-rape complaint against a fellow student.

The student was convicted of sexual assault during an administrative hearing, but he was allowed to remain in school. - Associated Press
