MONK, RUTH A.

Ruth A. Monk, age 79, of Roanoke, died Tuesday. Surviving is her husband, William E. (Bill) Monk, Sr.; one son, William E. Monk, Jr. and wife, Shelly T. Monk; one daughter, Sheridan (Sharon) Barnett, all of Roanoke; one brother, Randolph Ambrose of Woodstock, Va.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be from Sherwood Burial Park at 11:00 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. H. D. Scoggins will officiate. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel.
