TAYLOE, RICHARD H.Richard Harrell (Dick) Tayloe, age 63, of 2627 Hillendale Dr., N.W., died Tuesday, January 21, 1992. He was a member of Melrose Baptist Church and was a retired construction superintendent and Past President of Carpenters Local #319. He was a member of DAV, a member of Mountaindale Lodge #49 I.O.O.F. He was a licensed private pilot and was a Caller for the Roanoke Valley Square Dance Association. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Smith Tayloe; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert Watson Tayloe, Richard Terry and wife, Robin Lynn Tayloe, all of Roanoke; one sister and brother-in-law, Marcia Tayloe Moffitt and husband, Bob Moffitt of Roanoke; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John Watson Tayloe, Jr., and wife, Betty Tyree Tayloe of Newport News; Earl Corbin Tayloe and wife, Flora Dobie Tayloe of Louisville, Texas; six grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 24, with the Rev. Larry Sprouse and the Rev. Herman Word officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by VFW Post #1264. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
