LAM, GRACE P.Mrs. Grace Pond Lam, age 89, of the Roanoke United Methodist Home died Wednesday, January 22, 1992. He was the widow of Elmer L. Lam, who was retired from the N&W Railway. Mrs. Lam was a former member of the Greene Memorial United Methodist Church and was now a member of the Colonial Ave. Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Elmer and Joan Lam, Charlotte, N.C.; grandson and his wife, Thomas Stuart and Melissa Lam, Charlotte, N.C.; two granddaughters and husband, Mary Kimberly Lam, Columbus, Ohio; Joan Elizabeth and Robbie Leonard, Lebanon; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Adam Lam, Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Zora Schollmeyer, Seal Beach, Calif. Funeral services will be at the Colonial Ave. Baptist Church 1:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Brauan Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's South Chapel.
