SWEAT, LUTHER

Mr. Luther "Popsicle" Sweat, age 55, died Wednesday morning at his home. He was the owner of "Pop's Used Cars" in Glade Spring, Va. Surviving are his wife, Lois `'Elmore" Sweat, Glade Spring, Va.; one son, Jeff Sweat, Glade Spring, Va.; one daughter, Kim Jones, Glade Spring, Va.; four brothers, Teddy Sweat, Marion, Va.; Ralph Sweat, Ed Sweat, both of Glade Spring, Va.; Hal Sweat, Jr., Mansfield, Ohio; three sisters, Claudine Thomas, Jeanette Sweat, both of Glade Spring, Va.; Estel Lowe, West Minster, Md.; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the D. R. Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. J. L. DeBord and the Rev. Bobby Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Rose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at HendersonFuneral Home in Saltville, Va.
