ACHIEVEMENT AWARD NOMINATIONS SOUGHT

The Muscular Dystrophy Association has begun a nationwide program to recognize noteworthy achievements by people with disabilities caused by neuromuscular diseases.

The MDA Personal Achievement Awards are being established in recognition of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which takes effect this year.

Awards will be presented on local, state and nationwide levels. Nominations may be made by any individual or organization through local MDA chapters.

Nominations, which must be submitted by Feb. 15, may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 4502 Starkey Road S.W., Suite 206, Roanoke 24014.
