IRS OWES 28 IN VALLEY
The Internal Revenue Service owes money to 28 Roanoke Valley residents whom it cannot find.The IRS said these residents' tax-refund checks from last year were returned by the Postal Service as undeliverable.
The valley residents are among 1,100 Virginians whose unclaimed checks total more than $448,000. Those checks range in value from $1 to $11,264.
Anyone with information about the refunds should call the IRS toll free at 1-800-829-1040.
