IT'S DEPUTIES VS. DRIVERS IN DARE BENEFIT
The Botetourt County Sheriff's Department will take on the staff and drivers of the Franklin County Speedway in a basketball game Saturday to benefit Botetourt's Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.The "Say No to Drugs" game, sponsored by Valvoline Oil, will begin at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium of Lord Botetourt High School. Admission is $5, with children 10 and younger admitted free.
Fans can vote for their favorite team at $1 per vote. Refreshments also will be sold, with all proceeds to benefit the DARE program.
Robert Cox's No. 33 mini-stock race car and a car from the Sheriff's Department will be on display.
