SMALL, FLORENCE R.
Florence Weed Richberg Small, age 99, died Wednesday, January 22, 1992 at her residence. She was born March 11, 1892 in East Lansing, Mich. She attended Olivet College and Michigan State University. She was married to the late Donald R. Richberg. They lived in Chicago, Washington, D.C. and retired to Charlottesville. Subsequent to Mr. Richberg's death in 1960, she married John H. Small, III of Charlottesville, who died in 1965. In 1978 she moved to Wytheville where she continued her life-long interest in gardening. Mrs. Small is survived by one daughter, Eloise Richberg Campbell of Wytheville; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, Saturday, January 25, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges, 8010 Ridge Road, Richmond, Va. 23229. The family will receive friends at Mrs. Small's residence, 690 East Liberty Street, Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
