A TALE OF THREE DANS

WHAT ABOUT Dan? There was one who tried to ruin Christmas. At 6:30 p.m. every day he would paint a picture so black, the end seemed just around the corner.

Another Dan whom the media try to classify as brainless is very brilliant. He has such high standards and loves his country. If Americans knew who was behind this defamation, they would rise as one.

The third Dan had a dream of what would take place in the end time. People realize this world sits on a time bomb. When they cry peace and safety, then comes sudden destruction.

Can we trust Russia? Is Gorbachev through? The answer is no. Russia has 5 million military men plus 1 million KGB and half a million special-forces troops. They spend 25 percent of gross national product on defense and turn out a new nuclear sub every six weeks, as well as increasing tanks, bombs and missiles. Yet they yell for help. The book of Daniel tells us what will happen.

I would like to tell George to keep our armed forces strong and stop giving money to our enemies. They laugh up their sleeve at our ignorance. ZELDA WOODSON ROANOKE
