INTERNATIONAL: You can travel abroad to a different country through music this week.WVRU's "International Folk Music Hour," today 2-3 p.m., features the music of France.
"Lakutshon Ilanga: Music Is a Healer" airs on WVRU Tuesday at 8 p.m. The 13 segments in this series feature South African music and use local people as guides to the various aspects of African music. The third part is titled "Music of South Africa's Women."
WUVT airs "New Music" weekdays, noon-9 p.m., and an "International Fest" today, 5-9 p.m., with reggae, ska, blues, dance and more.
\ NEWS PROGRAMS: The DARE program will be discussed on WVRU's "Talk of the Town" Wednesday at 8 p.m. and Friday at 1:30 p.m.
"Speakers Corner" is on WVRU Monday at 1 p.m. with anchorman Roger Mudd, who this week interviews Herbert Simon, a Nobel laureate in economics, a pioneer of political science and artificial intelligence, who will discuss the evolution of thinking machines.
WJJJ has Paul Harvey twice today, 8:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m., with quips on events, people, news and comment.

\ WHAT'S NEW? WVRU's "Atmospheres" has added an hour on Sunday, 2-5 p.m., with new age and electronic music. This week's segment includes tunes from Spencer Brewer, Michael Jones and David Lanz.
\ CHILDREN: WBLB's "Kid's Corner," Mondays at 4:30 p.m., has child DJs, tunes and talk, Bible stories and discussions.
WUVT's "Hickory Dickory Dock" airs Saturday mornings, 9-11, with call-ins, children's poems, songs and discussions.
