MAN CHARGED IN WYTHE COUPLE'S BEATINGS

A man has been charged in the beatings four months ago of a Wythe County couple awakened about 4:30 a.m. by someone striking them repeatedly with a blunt object.

Steven Lee Donathan was indicted this week by a grand jury on two counts of malicious wounding and one of statutory burglary. His address is not known. He is being held elsewhere on other charges.

Roger Lee Wyatt Jr. suffered a broken finger in the attack and his wife, Segetta, sustained cuts to the head.
