Ms. Sherri Bain and Mr. David Henderson were united in marriage on December
28, 1991, at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, N. C., with the
Reverend Craig Holladay officiating. The reception was held at the Cardinal
Club. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, the Reverend Paris
Bain, who gave the marriage blessing. The matrons of honor were Teresa Bain
Stilton of Troutville, sister of the bride, and Rhett Holladay of Raleigh, N.
C., friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Stephanie Bain Call of Roanoke,
sister of the bride; Elizabeth Fisher Page of Washington, N. C., and Susan
Kaye Pruitt of Baltimore, Md., both friends of the bride. The best man was Dr.
Charles Henderson of Morganton, N. C., father of the groom. The groomsmen
included Randolph Dale of Winston-Salem, N. C., Mark McKinney of Jamestown, N.
C., and Timothy Paschall of Gastonia, N. C., all friends of the groom; and
John Rusher of Raleigh, N. C., friend of the bride and groom. The acolytes
were Corey Stilton of Troutville, Va., nephew of the bride, and Jessica
Williams of Morganton, N. C., niece of the groom. The guest books were
attended by Mr. and Mrs. Neal Becton, Jr. The wedding directors were Terry
Banks and Pat Bickel. The vocalist/soloist was Byron Paul. The
organist/pianist was Sharon Lowman. The N. C. Symphony string quartet played
under the direction of Marshall Johnson, violinist. Timothy Stewart was the
trumpeter. The bride is the daughter of the Reverend and Mrs. "Pete" Bain of
Roanoke. She graduated from Northside High School and Longwood College, and is
attending graduate school at Duke University. The groom is the son of Dr. and
Mrs. Charles "Rance" Henderson of Morganton, N. C. He graduated from Morganton
High School, UNC-Charlotte, and the Law School at Wake Forest University.
David is employed by the North Carolina State Bar Association. After a
wedding trip to the Bahamas, the newlyweds will live in Raleigh, N. C.
