SPAIN-ABSHIRE

Lisa Gail Abshire and Walter Eric Spain were married January 25, 1992, in Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Gardner officiating. The matron of honor was Betty Harnsberger, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Tammy Slone and Penny Ramey, sisters of the groom; and Tabitha Gardner, friend of the bride. The flowergirl was Kayla Abshire, niece of the bride. The best man was Richard E. Spain, Sr., father of the groom. The ushers were Daniel Abshire, brother of the bride; Jimmy Ramey, brother-in-law of the groom. Cindy Hurt, friend of the bride attended the guestbook. Solo performed by Amy Bilbro, friend of the bride, and the music was provided by Leslie Gibson, friend of the bride. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Abshire of Roanoke. She is employed by Dominion Bankshares Corporation. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Spain, Sr., of Roanoke. He is employed by Blue Stone Block. The newlyweds will make their home in Roanoke.
