ATKINSON ANNIVERSARY

Allen E. Atkinson and Esther Lee Noel were married in Roanoke on December 31, 1941. They celebrated their 50th anniversary on December 29 at Hollins Road Baptist Church where they are members. The reception was hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, Benton (Ben) and Helen Marie, children Alana, Leslie and Bryan Atkinson; daughter, Charlene, son-in-law, Mark McKnight, and their children, Carolee and Michael. The Atkinsons have lived in Roanoke except for Allen's tour of duty during WW II in the navy. Mr. Atkinson retired from Sav-A Stop and Mrs. Atkinson from Baptist Book Store.
