DOUGLASS, C. SCOTT III

C. Scott Douglass, age 34, formerly of Blacksburg, Va., died Wednesday at his home in San Francisco. Scott was a former Staff Assistant to President Jimmy Carter. His association with Carter began when Scott was thirteen years old, living in Gainesville, Ga. Scott went on to become the youngest staff assistant in the Carter Whitehouse. After Carter left office in 1981, Scott moved to San Francisco where he was a real estate agent for Zephyr Realty and an active member of several community organizations. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Clifton Scott Douglass, Jr. in 1978. He is survived by his mother, Norma Douglass, Roanoke; two sister, Cynthia Wells, Charlottesville; Nancy Allen, Roanoke. He also leaves behind, three nieces, Valerie Lisa Bramlett, Emily Nell Bramlett, both of Charlottesville; Christine Dianne Allen, Roanoke and one nephew, Nathan Ashley Allen, Roanoke; his maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Ryals, Atlanta, Ga. A memorial service is planned for 4:00 p.m. February 8 at the Unitariun Church in San Francisco. Memorials may be made to the BRASS/HANDS Fund, P.O.
