CAVE SPRING BOYS GET NON-DISTRICT WIN

Cave Spring rebounded from an emotional loss to William Fleming on Friday to knock off Halifax 70-60 in a non-district boys' basketball game Saturday night.

Kerry Whitt scored 28 points, 17 in the first half, to lead the Knights (7-6).

Cave Spring outrebounded Halifax 20-7 in the first half and raced to a 35-26 lead.

In the fourth quarter, the Knights held on at the free-throw line to ensure the win. Cave Spring hit 12 of 13 attempts.
