SALEM ROUTS RADFORD IN BOYS' BASKETBALL

Mark Byington hit four 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 22 points Saturday to lead Salem past Radford 78-53 in a non-district boys' basketball game.

Josh Pugh chipped in 21 points, Matthew Routt 12 and Tre Wilson 10 for the Spartans, who outscored Radford 40-21 in the second half.

Paul Nester scored 12, Duane Pierson 10 and Kris Smith 10 for the Bobcats.
