EAGLES RALLY TO DOWN RAIDERS IN VIC PLAY

Derek Jackson scored 13 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter Saturday as Roanoke Valley Christian rallied for a 69-64 Virginia Independent Conference boys' basketball win over Roanoke Catholic.

The Eagles (8-7, 6-4) trailed by seven points with four minutes to play, but rallied behind Jackson, who also had seven assists.

Aaron Slocomb powered RVC with 17 points and 18 rebounds. Jason DeLong added 12 points.

Scott Sartini had five 3-pointers and 17 points for Roanoke Catholic (8-6, 4-4). Charles Cunningham finished with 16 and Jason Griemel 11. - Staff
