2 LADY MAROONS WIN INDOOR TRACK EVENTS

Roanoke College's Cathie Showalter and Patricia Alonso were victorious in their events at the Lynchburg College indoor track and field meet on Saturday.

Showalter won the mile in 5 minutes, 36 seconds. She also placed third in the 880-yard run.

Alonso won the 2-mile run in 12:38.

Edward Hopper was the only man to place in the event for the Maroons. He finished third in the 600-yard run with a time of 1:23.3. - Staff report
